Today at 6.45am, Amy noticed some amazing colours in the sky. She ran down to the pathway’s edge, in her heavy footwear (and cursing her steel-capped boots!) so she could take some photos for us to share.
“It was absolutely epic,” said Amy. “Imagine taking a morning run along the pathway before you start work, or this view being part of your daily cycling commute. I can’t wait for my fellow Westies to also experience this awesome asset we’re building, everyone is going to love connecting to this space.”
Amy photographed for ten minutes then raced back to the site office in time to run the pre-start meeting with everyone at 7am. (Amy’s Real Job is Site Manager of Te Whau Pathway construction. But just in case she decides to follow a creative pathway instead… watch out Grant L Routen! You have some competition!)
But it’s not all good news.
“Normally it means it’s going to rain,” said Amy. “So I haven’t had many spectacular sunrise photos this year, it’s been so dry.”
This means we need to be more careful with water use. And we are! Keep it up folks!
Postnote: Predictably, this afternoon, there was a bit of rain. So a win for Auckland’s water levels as well.
